Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents on Milton Hershey School campus reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed Houseparent living with the same student group in their own home. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided with comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement savings, life and disability options, paid time off, and relocation assistance.” ,
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years married status minimum
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Background checks and commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Commitment to family-like environment and supervision of 8–13 students
