Job Summary
House Parents (Flex Houseparents) for Milton Hershey School: a full-time, two-person role for married couples who reside in on-campus student homes and care for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications and ensuring wellness, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initial schedule consists of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with a transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-year married couple required
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
