Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and supporting multiple homes before transitioning to a placed Houseparent role living with the same group. The position starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, with opportunities for relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years; both spouses must be age 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the home; smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty; pet restrictions; certified to drive student home vans
