Job Summary
House Parents for Milton Hershey School: a full-time Flex Houseparent role for married couples residing in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and participating in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, and handling budgeting and household reporting. Initially arranged as nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent within the same student home. Relocation assistance is provided; benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement options, and paid time off. Requires a two-year-married partnership, age 27+, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a faith-aligned, alcohol-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
