Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus in student homes in Rotan, TX, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role transitions from initial nine-on/three-off duty to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Requires married couple with at least two years together, both spouses aged 27 or older, high school diploma or GED, U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; salary is $46,917 per person (approx. $180,000 total per couple) with comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision and housing benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model behavior for students
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA area and live on-campus (Rotan, TX location noted for posting)
- Completed individual employment applications for both spouses
