Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School located in on-campus student homes for 8-13 students; couples reside in the home, provide supervision, mentorship, care, and routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting; nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students; relocation assistance provided; comprehensive benefits and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse employment applications required for consideration
- Valid U.S. driver’s license (or ability to become certified to drive student home vans)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Clean/smoke-free campus compliance
- Commitment to a safe, drug/alcohol-free environment
Additional Requirements
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
