Job Summary
House Parents for Milton Hershey School: a two-person, married-couple, full-time Flex Houseparent role residing in on-campus student homes to supervise and support 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and transitions to a Placed Houseparent living-and-working arrangement with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person of $46,917 (approximately $180,000 total per couple with housing and meals), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
