Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent positions at Milton Hershey School on campus, where married couples reside in student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide care and guidance, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead devotions and Chapel visits, oversee budgeting and reporting, with an initial nine days on / three days off schedule and eventual placement into a stable houseparent assignment; relocation assistance and paid training provided; requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, and both spouses' employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
