Job Summary
Two-person houseparent team (married couple) resides in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to supervise 8–13 students, provide guidance and mentorship, supervise household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from nine consecutive days on duty with three days off to a stable placement. Flex Houseparents initially support multiple homes and then move into a Placed Houseparent role, with relocation to Hershey, PA. Requires a two-year-married partnership, age 27+, high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid driver’s license and va to drive student vans, and committed, faith-based student supervision; relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse two-year marriage requirement
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Willingness to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- No alcohol on duty; smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Commitment to residents’ safety and integrity
- Experience with youth (working or volunteering)
- Planned relocation to Hershey, PA
