Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, budgeting, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning developmentally-focused and religious activities (devotions and Sunday Chapel), and transitioning from flexible placement to a fixed houseparent role. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits. Requires married couple, at least two years, both spouses 27+, High School diploma or GED, U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus; includes paid training and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
