Job Summary
Milton Hershey School seeks a two-person, married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. The pair reside in on-campus student homes and provide supervision, mentorship, and support for groups of approximately 8–13 students, including daily routines, medication administration, transportation to activities, and engagement in developmental and recreational activities. They lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and follow a nine-day-on, three-day-off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-year married relationship (two-spouse role) and both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
Additional Requirements
- Two-person, married-couple requirement for the role
- Only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed as pets
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
