Job Summary
Married couples serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, living in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading devotions and chapel attendance, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role after the initial placement phase. The position provides relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid training; on-site housing and meals while on duty are included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Two-person role for married couples
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and reside on campus
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Ability to guide and mentor students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel

- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Ability to manage budgeting and household reporting
- Ability to drive and supervise students in activities and events
- Proven integrity and professionalism as mentors and role models
- Ability to participate in a structured, family-like environment
- Experience or willingness to work in a faith-based education setting
- Proven track record of reliability and long-term commitment to family-like residential care
