Job Summary
House Parents (two-person, married couple) live on campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, to provide care, supervision, and guidance to a group of 8–13 students in an on-site home. Full-time Flex Houseparents start by supporting multiple student homes on a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, then transition to a Placed Houseparent role with a stable student-home assignment. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications and promoting student wellness, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and ensuring a structured, family-like environment to support academic, emotional, and social development. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, two-year marriage minimum
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services
