Job Summary
House Parents (Married Couples) - Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring a group of ~8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a consistent student-home assignment. Relocation to Hershey, PA provided with paid training; benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement plans, paid time off, and housing/meals while on duty. Requires experience with youth, high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain van certification; two-spouse, legally married partnership for at least two years; both spouses must be 27 or older and participate in separate employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to reside on-campus in student homes
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Prolonged on-campus housing and caregiving responsibilities
- Completion of individual employment applications by both spouses
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
