Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and support to a group of about 813 students. They manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions, accompany Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule across multiple homes, before transitioning to a placed Houseparent in the same student home. The position includes relocation to Hershey, PA, with comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year married for eligibility as a two-person couple role
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to reside on-campus in student homes as a two-person team
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Placed Houseparent pathway after initial placement in a student home
- Ability to complete individual employment applications
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
- Access to comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision
- Interest in Judeo-Christian Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
