Job Summary
House Parents for Milton Hershey School: a Full-time Flex Houseparent couple on-campus in Hershey, PA, residing in student homes to provide supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, and leadership of daily devotions and Sunday Chapel for a group of ~8–13 students. The role includes managing routines, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent. This is a two-person, married-couple position with relocation support and comprehensive benefits. Both spouses must complete individual applications; candidates typically are 27+ years old with a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license; role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and adherence to campus safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement with both completing applications
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models for students
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and reside on campus
