Job Summary
House Parents (Full-time Flex) for Milton Hershey School located on campus in Hershey, PA. A two-person role for married couples living in on-campus homes, providing care, supervision, and mentorship to groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from Flex Houseparents to Placed Houseparents. Compensation is $44,768 per person annually with comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance; working schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. Requires both spouses to be legally married for at least two years, ages 27+, High School diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus. Requires completion of individual applications by both spouses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement (both spouses must complete individual employment applications)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in devotions and chapel
- Ability to reside on-campus in student homes
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Comply with campus alcohol policy
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
