Job Summary
Two-person, legally married couple will reside on-campus at Milton Hershey School to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students in a home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; benefits include relocation assistance, paid training, and comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage. Qualifications include youth-related experience, high school diploma or GED, and other role-specific requirements; for consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse (two-person) role must be filled by legally married couple for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
