Job Summary
Married couples serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, living in on-campus student homes and supervising a group of ~813 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on / three-off cycle and transitions to a placed Houseparent living with the same student group; benefits include salary per person, comprehensive health benefits, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED
