Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA (locations: Rock Falls, IL for initial placement) who live in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; benefits include relocation assistance, paid training, and comprehensive health and retirement options.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- No alcohol on duty; smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model expectations
- Commitment to work as a two-person couple on-site
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA or Rock Falls, IL as assigned
