Job Summary
House Parents (two married individuals) live in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to provide daily supervision, mentorship, and a structured, family-like environment for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and progresses to a placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided, with comprehensive benefits and paid training. Both spouses must complete individual applications; the position requires a valid U.S. driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and adherence to a smoke- and weapon-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
