Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents, married couples, reside in on-campus student homes in the Hershey/Henrietta area, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students to foster academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students in their own home. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; comprehensive benefits accompany the role.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
