Job Summary
House Parents (two-person, married-couple role) provide supervision, mentorship, and care for groups of 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, coordinating schedules, budgeting, and household reporting. Initial nine-on/three-off duty cycle with eventual placement in a single student home. Benefits include salary per person (~$46,917) with comprehensive coverage, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO. Must be legally married for ≥2 years, both spouses aged ≥27, and have a high school diploma or GED. Requires valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student vans; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; compliance with smoke-free and weapon-free campus rules; ability to engage in Judeo-Christian chapel activities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- High school diploma or GED
