Job Summary
Two-person full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus, supervise and mentor groups of 8–13 students, manage household routines, supervise budgeting and reporting, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and transition from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent role. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license with ability to drive student vans, and compliance with campus rules (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol). Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided; benefits include health/dental/vision, retirement savings, PTO, and training. The role is a two-person, legally married couple position with age requirements (both spouses 27+), and involves U.S. driving duties, caregiving, and leadership within a school-residential setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
