Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents are a two-person married-couple role that will reside on campus in a student home in Hershey, PA, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 813 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications and ensuring student wellness, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement savings, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse, married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Ability to reside on-campus in student homes
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus (no alcohol on duty)
