Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance for 8–13 students in an on-campus home while managing household routines and schedules. Administer medications, ensure student wellness, and drive students to activities. Plan and lead developmental and recreational activities, including daily devotions and trips to Sunday Chapel. Oversee budgeting and household reporting. Operate under a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with unscheduled weekday time when students are in school. This role supports a structured, family-like environment for pre-K through 12th grade students from disadvantaged backgrounds at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
