Job Summary
Married couples serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, living in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off to a Placed Houseparent arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse two-year marriage requirement
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
