Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, supervising and mentoring a group of students (approximately 813) and providing care, supervision, and support. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, with an initial schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, and eventual placement into a single, consistent student-home assignment. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) plus comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person couple role
- Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Proven integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and commit to on-campus residence
