Job Summary
Two-person married couple Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on campus in a student home, supervising and mentoring about 8–13 students, providing care, supervision, and support. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially supporting multiple homes with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, they will transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and demonstrated integrity and professionalism. Must be a legally married couple for at least two years with both spouses age 27 or older, and must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Background in budgeting and household reporting
