Job Summary
As a Full-time Flex Houseparent couple on the Milton Hershey School campus, you will reside in on-campus student homes and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel. You will oversee budgeting and household reporting, initially supporting multiple student homes on a nine-on/three-off schedule and transitioning to aPlaced Houseparent role living with the same group of students. This two-person role offers relocation to Hershey, PA, with salary of $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple, including free housing, meals on duty, utilities, and more) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse requirement with individual applications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Proven integrity and professionalism
