Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents living on-campus in Hershey, PA to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Placed Houseparent living with the same student home. Relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package are provided. Requires both spouses to apply individually; qualifications include high school diploma or GED, 27+ years old for each spouse, driving eligibility, ability to lift 50 lbs, and experience with youth.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to reside on-campus in student homes
- Willingness to follow campus policies (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol on duty)
- Two-person role for couples in employment applications (both spouses must complete individual applications)
- Ability to drive and supervise students and lead devotions and chapel services
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years; two-person role
- Both spouses must be 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- No alcohol on duty; campus is smoke-free and weapon-free
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Must have valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans
