Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent team at Milton Hershey School in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring a group of students, administering medications, coordinating transportation to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, with eventual placement in a single student home. Relocation assistance is provided as part of the benefits package, and the compensation is approximately $168,000 per couple (salary per person $44,768) including housing and meals on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model expectations
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
