Job Summary
House Parents – Flex, full-time, two-person role for married couples living on campus at Milton Hershey School. Responsible for supervising and mentoring a group of ~8–13 students in an on-campus home, administering medications, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, driving students to activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and adapting from nine days on / three days off to a placed houseparent home; includes relocation to Hershey, PA with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits. Both spouses must complete individual applications; roles require a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus. Per-person salary is $44,768 (approximately $168,000 total compensation per couple with benefits). Relocation assistance and paid training provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
