Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) live in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of ~8–13 students; responsibilities include managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. The position operates on a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule with on-campus housing, meals, and a comprehensive benefits package; relocation assistance is provided. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a two-year married requirement along with age 27+ for both spouses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
