Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents reside on an on-campus student home in Hershey, PA, to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule while supporting multiple homes and eventually transitions to a placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), relocation assistance, comprehensive medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, and other benefits. Requires experience with youth, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, valid driver’s license, and willingness to maintain a smoke- and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty; both spouses must complete individual applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse role must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
