Job Summary
House Parents - Relocation to Hershey, PA. A two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School where a married couple resides in an on-campus student home to supervise and mentor ~813 students, manage routines, administer medications, transport students to activities, and lead devotions and Sunday Chapel. Initially, nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working in the same student home. Competitive compensation per person (~$44,768) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a strong commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; both spouses must apply and be at least 27 years old. Relocation to Hershey, PA provided with on-campus housing and meals on duty.”
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person couple role (both spouses must apply)
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to lead students in devotions and Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Two spouses aged 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Proven integrity and professionalism; role model for students
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and reside on-campus
Additional Requirements
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Marital status of applicants must be legally married for at least two years
- On-campus residency required
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds only
