Job Summary
House Parents (two-person family) are Full-time Flex Houseparents living on campus in student homes with 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role initially covers nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a consistent pair in a single student home. Includes relocation to Hershey, PA, with on-campus housing, meals on duty, comprehensive benefits, health insurance, retirement options, and paid training. Qualifications require a high school diploma or GED, two-year marriage minimum for both spouses, age 27+, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid driver’s license and driver certification, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty. Relocation assistance is provided."
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
