Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, living on campus to supervise and mentor a group of 8–13 students in a home-like setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, overseeing budgeting, and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; may transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
