Job Summary
Two-person married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents will reside on-campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, supervising and mentoring a group of approximately 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially, duties follow a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule across multiple student homes, with progression to a placed Houseparent role living and working with the same student group in their own home. Benefits include a salary of $44,768 per person (about $168,000 total per couple), comprehensive insurance, retirement savings, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role
- Both spouses at least 27 years old
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Chapel
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Full-time on-campus on-site housing included
