Job Summary
House Parents - Relocation to Hershey, PA: Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for groups of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Qualifications include experience with youth, a two-person married-couple requirement, age 27+, up to three dependent children, adherence to campus policies (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol on duty), valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a high school diploma or GED.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to reside on-campus in student homes
- Experience working with youth or volunteering with youth
