Job Summary
Two-person married couple needed as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA to live in on-campus student homes and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent with a consistent student home assignment. The role includes relocation to the campus, comprehensive benefits, and paid training with a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Two-person role for couples
