Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes to care for a group of approximately 8–13 students, providing supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, and facilitation of daily routines, devotions, and Sunday Chapel. Responsibilities include budgeting and household reporting; schedule started with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a single student home. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; comprehensive benefits offered. Requires both spouses to complete individual applications, and to meet age and background requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse marriage for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
