Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents (a legally married couple) reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing care, supervision, and mentorship for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to aPlaced Houseparent where the couple continues to live and work with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person (~$44,768) with comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse role with both spouses applying
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
