Job Summary
Milton Hershey School seeks a married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on an on-campus student home. The two-person team will reside in a student home, provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for approximately 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, transport students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent in the same student home. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided; salary is $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 total per couple when combined). For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Comfort leading devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
