Job Summary
Two-person married couple will reside on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA as Full-time Flex Houseparents, supervising and mentoring a group of approximately 813 students, managing daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, with a nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, and eventual transition to a placed houseparent role.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with youth
- Two-spouse requirement for employment applications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Proven integrity and professionalism in student-centered environment
- Eligible for on-campus living and supervision of students
- Ability to lead devotions and Judeo-Christian chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Two-year minimum for married status
