Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents needed at Milton Hershey School to live in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 813 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent role. The position requires experience with youth, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, a valid U.S. driver;s license, a high school diploma or GED, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty. The role is two-person for couples who are legally married for at least two years, both spouses ages 27 or older, and relocation assistance is provided along with paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver7s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
