Job Summary
House Parents (Flex) for Milton Hershey School: a two-person, full-time role for married couples who will reside in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage daily routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental activities and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and support multiple student homes with a nine-days-on/two to three days off schedule before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with a consistent student home.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
