Job Summary
Couples reside on-campus as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, supervising and mentoring a group of approximately 8–13 students in a home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision, coordinating routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially, you’ll work a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule across multiple student homes, then transition to a placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students in your own home on campus. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided as part of the role, along with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience with youth preferred
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
