Job Summary
House Parents for Milton Hershey School are a two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent team living on campus in on-site student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of ~8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines and schedules, administering medications, driving to activities, planning development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially the schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed Houseparent living with the same student group. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel (proselytizing prohibited)
