Job Summary
Two-person married couple on-campus live-in Houseparents at Milton Hershey School provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentoring, managing routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Salary listed per person ($44,768) with comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses 27+, valid driver’s license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. High school diploma or GED required; experience with youth preferred. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
